Two of Europe’s most celebrated motorcycle brands, BMW and Ducati, are set to roll out an impressive lineup of new models in 2025, catering to both adventure seekers and speed enthusiasts.
BMW’s 2025 Motorcycle Lineup
F 450 GS
BMW’s much-anticipated F 450 GS represents a significant step forward in the BMW-TVS partnership. Built in India, this compact adventure bike is powered by a new parallel-twin engine. While the exact engine displacement remains undisclosed, it’s expected to hover around 450cc, delivering 48hp. The concept version showcased last year features a sleek design reminiscent of the R 1300 GS, with a 6.5-inch TFT display, cross-spoke wheels, and adjustable suspension.
The production model, set to debut in 2025, is likely to retain much of this equipment. At an estimated price of ₹5 lakh (ex-showroom), it promises an affordable entry into BMW’s GS family.
R 1300 GSA
For those craving grand-scale adventurism, the R 1300 GSA pushes boundaries with its colossal 30-liter fuel tank and cutting-edge tech. Built on BMW’s 1300 platform, the GSA weighs 269kg, making it slightly heftier than its predecessor.
Innovative features include radar-assisted rider aids and BMW’s Automated Shift Assistant, which eliminates the clutch lever for seamless gear changes. Expected to arrive in the first half of 2025, the R 1300 GSA will likely be priced at ₹23 lakh (ex-showroom).
S 1000 RR
Designed for adrenaline-fueled speed, the updated S 1000 RR adopts the winglets and aerodynamics of the M 1000 RR while introducing front wheel covers with cooling ducts for enhanced brake performance. Although mechanically unchanged, its sleek updates and marginal price increase will keep it competitive in the ₹20.75 lakh to ₹25.25 lakh price range.
Ducati’s 2025 Offerings
New V2 Models: Multistrada, Streetfighter, and Panigale
Ducati’s focus in 2025 lies in redefining the middleweight segment with its new Multistrada V2, Streetfighter V2, and Panigale V2, powered by an 890cc V-Twin engine.
- Multistrada V2: A capable tourer with 115hp, it trades the traditional steel trellis frame for a modern aluminum monocoque. Borrowing styling cues from the larger Multistrada V4, this bike is expected to cost between ₹17 lakh and ₹19 lakh.
- Streetfighter V2 and Panigale V2: Lighter by 18kg but less powerful than their 955cc predecessors, these bikes deliver 120hp and take direct aim at rivals in the middleweight category. Their pricing will likely fall close to ₹18.50 lakh and ₹20.98 lakh, respectively.
Panigale V4
The flagship Panigale V4 receives extensive updates across the board, focusing on improved rideability and performance. A major design shift is the return of the double-sided swingarm—a first since the iconic 916 era. Equipped with Brembo’s state-of-the-art Hypure brake calipers, the Panigale V4 reaffirms its place at the pinnacle of sportbike engineering. Expect a price hike from the current ₹27.72 lakh to ₹33.48 lakh range.
