Auto Expo 2023: Maruti Suzuki introduces Jimny

At the Auto Expo 2023 in India, Maruti Suzuki showed off the much-anticipated Jimny. Today, you can start making reservations for it at Nexa stores or online.

Maruti Suzuki also started taking reservations on Thursday for the Fronx, a crossover based on the Baleno.

Maruti wants to lead the market for sports utility vehicles (SUVs) with the Jimny and Fronx. The biggest automaker in the country also wants to improve its position in the SUV market so it can get back 50% of the market for passenger cars in the United States. Maruti Suzuki India’s MD and CEO, Hisashi Takeuchi, showed off the cars at the Auto Expo 2023 and said that the company’s short-term goal was to get back 50% of the market share and become the top SUV brand.

Sun Mobility, which provides energy infrastructure and services for electric mobility, wants to be able to support 10 lakh vehicles by 2025. At the Auto Expo 2023 in this area, the business showed off its SwapX tiny battery switching station. This was done so that people could become franchisees and the network could grow faster. Sun Mobility also showed off their S2.1 next-generation battery pack, which has 45% more range and is compatible with 45% more devices.

Youth expect the best, driving up new automobile entry price to Rs 10 lakh

Customers’ price expectations are always going up. A decade ago, the median price was around Rs 5 lakh, but now it’s around Rs 10 lakh. This is something that all vehicle manufacturers agree on, and it shows in the models chosen for the Auto Expo pavilions. Price trend data shows that prices are going up for the top three passenger vehicle makers in the country: Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai Motors, and Tata Motors. Together, these three companies will sell more than 70% of all cars in FY 2021.
