Skoda Launches Kushaq Sportline in India, Starting at Rs 14.70 Lakh

Skoda has introduced the new Sportline trim for the Kushaq midsize SUV, featuring a distinctive blacked-out design. Priced between Rs 14.70 lakh and Rs 17.40 lakh (ex-showroom, India), the Kushaq Sportline offers cosmetic upgrades inside and out, with engine options including both the 1.0-litre and 1.5-litre TSI turbo-petrol variants. Positioned above the mid-spec Signature trim, the Sportline is priced Rs 51,000 higher.

Skoda Kushaq Sportline Pricing:

Variant Price (ex-showroom)
Sportline 1.0 TSI MT Rs 14.70 lakh
Sportline 1.0 TSI AT Rs 15.80 lakh
Sportline 1.5 TSI DSG Rs 17.40 lakh

Exterior and Interior Features

The Kushaq Sportline brings a sporty, blacked-out aesthetic, a popular trend in the midsize SUV segment. While some of these features are reminiscent of the Kushaq Monte Carlo, the Sportline adds exclusive elements such as black door garnishes, 17-inch black alloy wheels, and a unique ‘Sportline’ badge on the front fender. Shared features include a blacked-out grille surround, scuff plates, ORVMs, roof and roof rails, and tailgate garnishes.

Inside, the Sportline trim is styled with a dual-tone black and beige color scheme, new fabric upholstery with dual stripes, and aluminum pedals. Equipment includes full-LED headlamps, automatic wipers, a 10-inch touchscreen, a single-pane sunroof, and six airbags. However, it lacks some premium features found on the top-spec Signature trim, such as a fully digital driver’s display and ventilated front seats.

Powertrain and Specifications

The Kushaq Sportline offers two engine options: a 1.0-litre TSI turbo-petrol engine delivering 115hp and 178Nm, paired with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic torque converter, and a 1.5-litre TSI turbo-petrol engine generating 150hp and 250Nm, mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic. Notably, Skoda has discontinued the 1.5-litre petrol manual transmission previously available on the Signature, Prestige, and Monte Carlo trims.

With the Monte Carlo variants now priced between Rs 15.90 lakh and Rs 18.60 lakh (ex-showroom), the Kushaq Sportline offers a fresh, sporty addition to the lineup with its exclusive blacked-out styling and versatile engine options.
