Tata Curvv EV: Battery Details and Features Revealed

Tata Motors recently unveiled the production version of the Curvv coupe-SUV. While the full interior design and specifications remain undisclosed, new details about the Curvv EV’s battery specifications have emerged.

Battery Options:

  • Higher-Spec Variants: Equipped with a 55kWh battery.
  • Lower-Spec Variants: Expected to use the 40.5kWh battery from the Nexon LR.

The range for the new 55kWh battery has yet to be confirmed. However, given that the 40.5kWh battery offers an ARAI-claimed range of 465km, the larger battery is anticipated to deliver over 550km on a single charge. This positions the Curvv EV competitively against upcoming rivals like the Creta EV and the Maruti eVX, which are expected to feature 45kWh and 60kWh batteries, respectively.

Both Curvv EV variants will be powered by a front-axle mounted electric motor, with specific performance details expected to be announced closer to the launch date on August 7. The prices for the petrol and diesel variants of the Curvv will also be revealed at the same event.

Features:

The Curvv will come well-equipped with a range of advanced features, including:

  • 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system
  • Fully digital driver’s display
  • Segment-first powered tailgate with gesture control
  • Panoramic sunroof
  • Reclining rear seats
  • Ventilated front seats

Top-spec variants will also include ADAS Level 2 safety technology.

Upon its launch, the Curvv will compete in the midsize SUV market, joining the Citroen Basalt as one of the pioneering models in the emerging coupe-SUV sub-segment.
