Autocar India has confirmed that Hyundai will launch the Alcazar facelift in India this September, marking the company’s next major release before the Creta EV arrives early next year.
Design Highlights of the Hyundai Alcazar Facelift
The facelifted Alcazar will feature distinct styling tweaks to set it apart from the Creta. While the split headlamp design will likely remain, expect slight changes to the grille and front bumper. New designs for the alloy wheels and side claddings will be introduced. At the rear, the Alcazar will sport a completely redesigned tailgate with new tail-lights that incorporate both vertical and horizontal elements.
Interior and Powertrain Features
Inside, the Alcazar facelift will boast a new-look dashboard with a twin-screen setup, similar to the updated Creta. It will continue to be available in 6- and 7-seater configurations. The facelift will carry forward the current powertrain options: a 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine delivering 160hp and 253Nm of torque, available with a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic, and a 1.5-litre diesel engine producing 116hp and 250Nm, offered with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission.
Launch Timeline and Pricing
Hyundai aims to launch the Alcazar facelift in time for the festive season, with the release expected in September. The current model is priced between Rs 16.78 lakh and Rs 21.28 lakh (ex-showroom). The facelifted version is anticipated to come at a slightly higher cost.
