Mercedes-Benz India has unveiled the updated EQB electric SUV, starting at Rs 70.90 lakh. This facelift includes design enhancements, new features, and a new 5-seat variant.

- EQB 250+ 7-seater: Rs 70.90 lakh (ex-showroom)
- EQB 350 4Matic 5-seater: Rs 77.50 lakh (ex-showroom)
Design and Features The refreshed EQB sports a new grille panel with Mercedes’ iconic star pattern, akin to its latest EVs like the EQA. Other exterior updates include revised bumpers and a horizontal pattern for the full-width LED tail lamps. Inside, the star pattern extends to the dashboard and door trims, which are backlit to echo the luxury found in the S-Class and EQS models. The interior also features a new touch-capacitive three-spoke steering wheel and an option for open-pore wood trim.
Advanced Features Equipped with the latest MBUX infotainment system, the EQB facelift offers a Burmester sound system with Dolby Atmos, dual-zone automatic climate control, a 360-degree camera, Level 2 ADAS functions, 19-inch AMG alloy wheels, and seven airbags. Notably, the updated model now includes both 5-seat and 7-seat configurations, whereas the previous version only offered a 7-seat setup.
Powertrain and Range The EQB facelift is available in two trims:
- EQB 250+: Features a 70.5kWh battery with a front-mounted single electric motor, delivering 190hp and 385Nm of torque.
- EQB 350 4Matic: Boasts a dual-motor setup with all-wheel drive, producing a combined 292hp and 520Nm of torque, allowing it to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 6.2 seconds.
The EQB 250+ offers a WLTP-certified range of up to 447km, while the EQB 350 4Matic can achieve up to 535km on a single charge. With a DC fast charger, the battery can be charged from 10% to 80% in approximately 32-35 minutes. Using an 11kW AC charger, the EQB 350 4Matic can be fully charged in about 6 hours 45 minutes, and the EQB 250+ in about 7 hours 15 minutes.
Market Position The EQB currently stands without direct competitors in the Indian market, positioned above the newly introduced EQA in Mercedes’ EV lineup. It competes indirectly with electric vehicles like the Volvo XC40 Recharge and BMW iX1. Deliveries for the facelifted EQB will begin in January 2025.
