Suzuki has introduced a special Katana Limited Edition (LE) for the German market, offering a more exclusive take on its iconic neo-retro sportbike. Limited to just 45 units, the Katana LE brings subtle styling upgrades, a premium exhaust and a few collector-focused accessories while retaining the same performance as the standard motorcycle.
Suzuki Katana Limited Edition: Design And Cosmetic Updates
At first glance, the overall silhouette of the Katana LE remains identical to the standard model, preserving the sharp and futuristic styling inspired by the original Katana. However, Suzuki has added a few distinctive visual elements to set the limited-run version apart.
The motorcycle comes finished in silver bodywork paired with bright bronze alloy wheels, giving it a more premium and striking look. Unlike the standard Katana, which features a body-coloured tail section, the Limited Edition gets a black-finished rear section, enhancing its sporty appeal.
To underline its exclusivity, Suzuki has included a numbered sticker identifying each bike’s production number. Buyers also receive several accessories such as frame sliders, a carbon-look tank pad, a Katana-branded garage mat, and a commemorative book that traces the history of the Katana from its origins to the current-generation model.
Suzuki Katana Limited Edition: Engine And Performance
Mechanically, the Katana LE remains unchanged from the regular model. It continues to be powered by the K5-derived 999cc inline-four engine, which produces 152hp and 106Nm of torque.
The only mechanical upgrade comes in the form of a road-legal Akrapovic slip-on exhaust. While this exhaust enhances the bike’s sound and adds a premium touch, Suzuki states that performance figures remain unchanged.
The motorcycle retains the same chassis setup and electronics package as the standard Katana, ensuring identical riding dynamics and features.
Suzuki Katana Limited Edition: Price And Availability
The Suzuki Katana Limited Edition is priced at €15,045 (around Rs 16.11 lakh) in Germany. This makes it noticeably more expensive than the standard Katana, which retails for €14,400 (around Rs 15.41 lakh).
With only 45 units allocated for the German market, the Katana LE is expected to be a highly collectible version of Suzuki’s modern-day interpretation of the legendary Katana.
