Upcoming VinFast Cars in India in 2026: VF3 Micro EV and Limo Green MPV Detailed

Vietnamese electric vehicle manufacturer VinFast is gearing up to strengthen its presence in India in 2026 with the launch of two all-new electric models. After making its Indian debut in September 2025 with the VF6 and VF7 electric SUVs, the brand is now targeting two very different but fast-growing segments: micro EVs and three-row electric MPVs.

Both upcoming models will be produced at VinFast’s Tamil Nadu manufacturing facility, reinforcing the brand’s long-term commitment to the Indian market.

VinFast India launches planned for 2026:

  • VinFast VF3 – Entry-level micro electric car

  • VinFast Limo Green – 5+2 seat electric MPV

VinFast Limo Green Electric MPV (Expected Launch: Q1 2026)

VinFast is set to enter India’s three-row electric vehicle space with the Limo Green, a 5+2 seat electric MPV positioned as a rival to the BYD eMax 7.

Key highlights of VinFast Limo Green:

  • Expected launch: First quarter of 2026

  • Estimated price: ₹22 lakh – ₹26 lakh

  • Battery pack: 60.1kWh

  • Claimed range: Up to 450km

  • Power output: 201hp

  • Drivetrain: Front-wheel drive

While VinFast does not classify the Limo Green as a full-size seven-seater, it offers flexible seating for families looking for a practical electric people-mover. The MPV follows VinFast’s minimalist design philosophy, with a large central touchscreen handling most cabin controls and a clean, uncluttered dashboard layout.

On the outside, the Limo Green carries the brand’s signature styling elements, including V-shaped LED lighting at the front and rear. The side profile features a slightly raised roofline towards the rear, giving it a silhouette reminiscent of conventional ladder-style SUVs while maintaining MPV practicality.

VinFast VF3 Micro EV (Expected Launch: H1 2026)

At the opposite end of the spectrum, VinFast is preparing to take on the MG Comet EV with the launch of the VF3, a compact, city-focused electric car designed for urban mobility.

Key highlights of VinFast VF3:

  • Expected launch: First half of 2026

  • Estimated price: ₹8 lakh – ₹10 lakh

  • Battery pack: 18.6kWh

  • Claimed range: Over 200km

  • Power output: 43.5hp

  • Ground clearance: 191mm

Despite its small footprint, the VF3 has been engineered with Indian road conditions in mind. Its high ground clearance should help tackle rough city roads, while the compact dimensions make it ideal for congested traffic and tight parking spaces.

The modest power output is offset by the car’s light weight, making it well-suited for daily commutes and short urban runs. VinFast is also exploring a Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) model for India, which could significantly reduce the upfront cost for buyers.

VinFast’s India Strategy for 2026

With the VF3 and Limo Green, VinFast is clearly aiming for volume at the entry level and premium practicality at the top end. The strategy allows the brand to address diverse customer needs while building brand recall across segments.

As India’s EV market continues to mature, VinFast’s locally manufactured line-up and aggressive pricing strategy could make it a serious contender in 2026.
