2025 Ducati Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak launched at Rs 36.17 lakh

Ducati India has launched the 2025 Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak at a price of ₹36.17 lakh (ex-showroom). The new Pikes Peak variant represents the most performance-focused version of Ducati’s adventure-tourer lineup, blending sportbike-like agility with long-distance touring comfort. It sits above the Multistrada V4 S in Ducati’s portfolio and comes packed with top-tier hardware and electronic aids.

Engine and Performance

Powering the Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak is the same 1,158cc V4 Granturismo engine found on the standard model. This motor produces 170hp at 10,750rpm and 123.8Nm of torque at 9,000rpm, and is now E20 fuel compliant. Ducati has also equipped the motorcycle with a cylinder deactivation system, which turns off the rear cylinder bank at low speeds to improve fuel efficiency and reduce heat.

The Pikes Peak edition introduces a Race riding mode, which sharpens throttle response and reduces electronic intervention from traction and wheelie control systems. A titanium Akrapovic exhaust comes standard, adding both aural drama and weight savings.

Chassis and Suspension

What truly sets the Pikes Peak apart is its sport-oriented chassis setup. It swaps the standard Multistrada’s 19-inch front wheel for a 17-inch forged aluminium wheel setup (17-inch front and rear) fitted with Pirelli Diablo Rosso IV tyres. This change enhances cornering precision and handling agility. The bike also features a single-sided swingarm, adding to its premium appeal.

Suspension duties are handled by Ohlins Smart EC 2.0 electronic suspension, also found on the Panigale V4 S and Streetfighter V4 S. This system automatically adjusts damping based on riding style and conditions. Braking is managed by Brembo Stylema calipers gripping 330mm dual front discs and a 280mm rear disc.

Design and Ergonomics

The Pikes Peak’s design draws inspiration from Ducati’s racing DNA. It features sharper ergonomics, with narrower and lower handlebars, and higher, rear-set foot pegs, resulting in a more aggressive riding posture. The steering head angle has been altered to 25.75 degrees for sportier dynamics, compared to 24.5 degrees on the standard Multistrada V4.

Visually, the motorcycle gets a unique “Pikes Peak” livery, inspired by Ducati’s racing heritage, and carbon-fibre elements for a lightweight, performance-focused appearance.

Electronics and Features

The Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak inherits Ducati’s cutting-edge electronics suite, including:

  • Cornering ABS and Wheelie Control (DWC)
  • Ducati Vehicle Observer (DVO) system with 70 sensors
  • Radar-based safety tech with Forward Collision Warning (FCW), Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) and Blind Spot Detection (BSD)
  • 6.5-inch TFT display, full connectivity suite, and customizable riding modes

Price and Rivals

At ₹36.17 lakh (ex-showroom), the Ducati Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak sits at the top of the Multistrada range, commanding a ₹5.5 lakh premium over the V4 S. With its sharper dynamics, superior suspension and sportier ergonomics, it blurs the line between an adventure-tourer and a superbike. The pricing also brings it close to the Panigale V4 S (₹39 lakh), appealing to riders who seek performance without sacrificing long-distance comfort.
