Kia Carens Clavis EV HTX E launched at Rs 19.99 lakh

Kia has expanded the Carens Clavis EV lineup with the launch of a new HTX E variant, priced at Rs 19.99 lakh (ex-showroom) for the Standard Range model. The Extended Range version of the same trim costs Rs 21.99 lakh. Positioned between the HTK+ and HTX variants, the new HTX E aims to offer a more feature-packed experience at a lower price point than the ADAS-equipped HTX.

What’s new in the Kia Carens Clavis EV HTX E?

The HTX E trim borrows several features from the higher HTX variant, making it a more premium offering compared to the HTK+. Key additions include:

• Panoramic sunroof

• 64-colour ambient lighting

• Leatherette upholstery and steering wheel wrap

• Tilt and telescopic steering adjustment

• Retractable seatback tables

• Voice-operated one-touch up/down windows

• LED cabin lights and an anti-glare IRVM

• Integrated air purifier

The cabin features a dual-tone beige and navy blue interior theme, adding a touch of sophistication. The Extended Range (ER) model further gets 17-inch alloy wheels, enhancing the SUV’s visual appeal.

The main distinction between the new HTX E and the HTX variants lies in the absence of ADAS features on the HTX E, while the HTX+ ER continues as the fully loaded model in the range.

The Clavis EV HTX E is available with two battery configurations:

• Standard Range: 42kWh battery, 404km (ARAI-claimed range)

  • Power: 135hp

  • Torque: 255Nm

• Extended Range: 51.4kWh battery, 490km (ARAI-claimed range)

  • Power: 171hp

  • Torque: 255Nm

Both variants use a single front-mounted electric motor, delivering brisk performance and efficient energy management.
