Kawasaki Z900 Price Crosses Rs 10 Lakh After GST Hike

Kawasaki has increased prices across its India line-up following the recent GST revision, which raised taxes on motorcycles above 350cc to 40 percent. The popular Z900 is among the affected models, now retailing at Rs 10.18 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi) — a jump of Rs 66,000 over its earlier price of Rs 9.52 lakh.

For 2025, the Z900 had already received a substantial upgrade. The streetfighter now features ride-by-wire throttle, updated hardware, revised styling, and a 5-inch TFT display borrowed from the Ninja 1100SX. Electronic rider aids include cruise control, a bi-directional quickshifter, traction control, dual-channel ABS, multiple riding and power modes.

Power comes from its familiar 948cc inline-four engine, producing 124hp at 9,500rpm and 97.4Nm at 7,700rpm. Despite the price hike, the Z900 remains one of the most affordable inline-four motorcycles in India, second only to the Kawasaki ZX-4R.

With the new price, the Z900 now competes directly with the Honda CB650R (Rs 10.30 lakh after a Rs 70,000 increase) and the Triumph Street Triple R, currently listed at Rs 10.17 lakh, though it too is expected to see a GST-related revision soon.
