Hero Glamour X Launched with Cruise Control at ₹90,000

Hero MotoCorp has introduced the all-new Glamour X, a commuter motorcycle that sets a new benchmark in the 125cc segment by offering cruise control—a first in this category. Priced at ₹90,000 (ex-showroom, Delhi) for the drum brake variant, the Glamour X brings a premium set of features to everyday riders.

First Commuter with Cruise Control

The highlight of the Glamour X is undoubtedly its ride-by-wire throttle system, which enables cruise control—a feature previously unseen on commuter motorcycles in India. The bike also gets three riding modes – Power, Road, and Eco – which alter throttle response but don’t restrict top speed. Complementing this is a new adaptive colour LCD console with Bluetooth connectivity, giving the Glamour X a tech-forward edge.

Styling and Features

While the design remains rooted in the familiar Glamour identity, the X version gets sharper, more muscular bodywork and comes in five new colour options. A taller black-tinted windscreen is standard, with a shorter one offered as an accessory. The handlebar is now 30mm wider, while the seat is larger and set at a lower 790mm height for improved comfort. Ground clearance remains at 170mm, and Hero has added a small under-seat storage space for essentials.

Lighting updates include a new LED headlamp with an ambient light sensor for auto adjustment, and a redesigned LED tail-lamp borrowed from the Xtreme 250R. The indicators also feature a panic brake alert function, further enhancing safety.

Engine and Hardware

Powering the Glamour X is the tried-and-tested 124.7cc single-cylinder engine shared with the Xtreme 125R. It delivers 11.5hp and 10.5Nm of torque, paired with a 5-speed gearbox. Suspension duties are handled by a telescopic fork up front and twin shock absorbers at the rear. Braking hardware includes a 240mm front disc or 130mm drum setup, though unlike the Xtreme 125R, ABS is not offered.

Price and Rivals

The Glamour X is available in two trims:

  • Drum brake variant – ₹90,000

  • Disc brake variant – ₹1 lakh

This makes it only ₹2,800 costlier than the standard Glamour and just ₹499 more than the Glamour Xtec, while offering significantly more features.

At this price point, the Glamour X doesn’t have a direct rival that offers cruise control, giving it a unique advantage in the commuter segment.
