2025 Skoda Kodiaq India Launch Set for April

Skoda Auto India has confirmed that the second-generation Kodiaq will officially launch in April 2025, just months after its India debut. Speaking at the Octavia RS drive event, Petr Janeba, Brand Director of Skoda Auto India, announced that the SUV will be available in two trims – Sportline and Laurin & Klement (L&K).

Kodiaq Variants & Features

Both Sportline and L&K trims will come with distinct styling and feature differences. While the L&K variant, showcased at Auto Expo 2025, retains an elegant chrome-accented exterior, the Sportline edition will sport blackened elements on the grille, ORVMs, D-pillars, and other areas. It will also feature unique alloy wheels and a sportier cabin with dark upholstery and blacked-out interior highlights.

Feature-wise, there are expected to be key differences between the two trims, but more details will be revealed closer to launch.

Powertrain & Performance

The 2025 Kodiaq will continue to be powered by the 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine producing 190hp and 320Nm of torque. It will come with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and all-wheel drive (AWD) as standard. This setup remains unchanged from the outgoing model.

Kodiaq RS: Performance-Oriented Flagship Arriving Late 2025

Later in 2025, Skoda will introduce the performance-focused Kodiaq RS in India. Unlike the standard variants, the RS model will be a CBU (Completely Built Unit) import, making it significantly more expensive. The RS-badged SUV will offer a more aggressive design, larger brakes, and sportier interior elements.

Under the hood, the Kodiaq RS will pack a 265hp, 400Nm version of the 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine, making it the most powerful Kodiaq variant in India.

Local Assembly for Standard Variants

While the Sportline and L&K trims will be locally assembled, the RS model will be brought in as a CBU, justifying its higher price tag.

With its mix of luxury, performance, and practicality, the 2025 Skoda Kodiaq aims to strengthen Skoda’s SUV lineup in India. Pricing details will be revealed in April, so stay tuned for further updates.
