Suzuki Access 125 Updated for 2025, Launched at ₹81,700: Auto Expo Highlights

Suzuki has reaffirmed its presence in the petrol scooter segment by unveiling the refreshed Access 125 at Auto Expo 2025, with prices starting at ₹81,700. Alongside its EV counterpart, the e-Access, the updated Access 125 showcases a mix of design enhancements and feature upgrades.

Engine and Performance

The scooter retains its 125cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine, which is now compliant with OBD2B norms. The updated motor generates 8.4hp and 10.2Nm of torque—a marginal reduction of 0.3hp but with a slight increase in torque by 0.2Nm. Mechanically, the rest of the scooter remains unchanged from the previous model.

Design Refresh

The Access 125 receives a modernized look with a redesigned, sharper LED headlight inspired by the e-Access and a new LED tail lamp. These updates breathe fresh life into its design, which has remained largely unchanged for seven years.

Practicality Upgrades

Practicality has been improved with dual storage pockets on the front apron and an expanded underseat storage capacity of 24.4 litres, up from 21.8 litres. Additionally, a remote fuel filler has been introduced, addressing a key user complaint from the earlier version.

Enhanced Features

The scooter continues to feature a digital instrument cluster, now equipped with added functionality. Riders can access features like a digital wallet, fuel consumption data, and periodic service reminders through the Suzuki Ride Connect app. New additions such as a pass switch and a hazard light switch enhance convenience and safety.

Variants and Colours

Suzuki offers the Access 125 in three variants: Standard, Special, and Ride Connect, with five colour options—green, beige, blue, white, and black. While the company has only showcased the top-spec model so far, it remains unclear whether the updated features will be available across all variants.

The previous model was priced between ₹79,899 and ₹90,500 (ex-showroom, Delhi). With its updates and competitive pricing, the new Access 125 aims to maintain its stronghold in the family scooter segment.
