Honda has teased its forthcoming electric scooter for the Indian market, revealing intriguing features, including dual display options. The teaser showcases a compact LCD unit and a larger TFT display, with the latter resembling the one found on the Honda CUV e:.
In addition to the motor, the Indian e-scooter seems to share the CUV e:’s advanced TFT dashboard. This larger display is expected to be reserved for the premium variant, while the base model might feature the simpler LCD option.
The teaser offers more than just a look at the displays—it hints at the scooter’s potential range. At a full charge, the scooter indicates a range of 104 km, a significant improvement over the CUV e:’s 72 km. This suggests the Indian variant is equipped with a larger battery pack than the CUV e:’s 2.6 kWh unit, though the exact capacity is yet to be confirmed.
Potential Upgrades for the Indian Market
With a larger battery pack, Honda’s Indian electric scooter might feature a reworked frame or even an entirely new design. Whether it will include a removable battery like the CUV e: or adopt a fixed battery setup, common in this segment, remains unclear.
The teaser also highlights two ride modes—Standard and Sport—consistent with the CUV e:. Additionally, the TFT display will support smartphone connectivity, enabling features like navigation and notification alerts directly on the dashboard.
Launch Date
Honda’s India-specific electric scooter appears to build upon the strengths of the CUV e:, with enhancements tailored for local preferences. The official unveiling is scheduled for November 27, offering a closer look at what Honda has in store for Indian EV enthusiasts.
