Hero Xpulse 210 vs. Hero Xpulse 200 4V: Key Differences Explained

Hero MotoCorp introduced the new Xpulse 210 at EICMA 2024, a model that features a slightly modified version of the engine from the Karizma XMR 210. Here’s an in-depth comparison of how the Xpulse 210 differs from the previous Xpulse 200 4V model.

1. Engine Performance

The Xpulse 200 4V is equipped with a 199cc, oil-cooled, single-cylinder engine, paired with a 5-speed transmission. This setup delivers 19.1hp at 8,500rpm and 17.35Nm of torque at 6,500rpm. In contrast, the Xpulse 210 sports a larger 210cc, liquid-cooled, single-cylinder engine mated to a 6-speed gearbox, generating a more powerful 24.6hp at 9,250rpm and 20.7Nm of torque at 7,250rpm.

2. Weight Differences

The new Xpulse 210 weighs in at 170kg, which is about 11kg heavier than the Xpulse 200 4V. Although Hero hasn’t detailed the reasons behind this increase, it is likely due to the upgraded powertrain and design enhancements.

3. Suspension Setup

The Xpulse 200 4V offers 190mm of front suspension travel and 170mm at the rear. The Xpulse 210, however, features longer travel suspension with 210mm at the front and 205mm at the rear. For reference, the Xpulse 200 4V Pro variant provides even greater suspension travel, with 250mm at the front and 220mm at the rear. All three models use a telescopic front fork and a rear monoshock.

4. Enhanced Features

The Xpulse 200 4V features a monotone LCD display with Bluetooth connectivity, ABS modes, and navigation capabilities. Meanwhile, the Xpulse 210 is equipped with a new 4.2-inch TFT display, likely incorporating all the previous model’s features and possibly adding riding modes.

5. Price Comparison

The Xpulse 200 4V is currently priced at Rs 1.47 lakh, with the Pro variant costing Rs 1.54 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). The upcoming Xpulse 210 is expected to carry a premium, potentially costing around Rs 20,000 to Rs 30,000 more than the standard Xpulse 200 4V.

This new Xpulse 210 is set to be a stronger, more feature-rich adventure bike with noticeable upgrades in power, suspension, and technology.
