KTM has officially unveiled the specifications for the 2025 250 Adventure, which now shares its platform with the latest 390 Adventure and 390 Adventure X. This update brings significant mechanical and feature upgrades, making it a more capable entry-level adventure tourer.
Engine & Performance
Powering the new 250 Adventure is the same 249cc, single-cylinder engine found in the latest 250 Duke, producing 31hp and 25Nm of torque. One noticeable change is the repositioned underbelly exhaust, replacing the outgoing model’s upswept unit.
Chassis & Suspension
The 2025 model is built around a new two-piece steel trellis frame, but unlike the 390 Adventure, it does not get an aluminum sub-frame. The bike runs on a 19-inch front and 17-inch rear wheel setup, offering a balance between off-road capability and on-road stability. KTM has also revised the suspension, providing 200mm of travel at the front and 205mm at the rear, which matches the new 390 Adventure models.
Braking & Electronics
Braking duties are handled by a 320mm front disc and a 240mm rear disc, paired with dual-channel ABS. True to KTM’s off-road spirit, the rear ABS can be switched off via Off-road mode for better control on loose terrain.
Weight & Fuel Capacity
Despite the updates, the kerb weight remains 177kg, ensuring no additional heft over the previous version. However, the fuel tank capacity sees a slight reduction of 0.5 litres, now holding 14 litres.
New Features & Technology
One of the biggest upgrades for 2025 is the addition of a 5-inch TFT display, similar to the one found on the 390 Duke and new 390 Adventure. The bike also gets ride-by-wire technology, enabling the inclusion of a bidirectional quickshifter—a first for the 250 Adventure.
Design & Lighting
KTM has given the 250 Adventure a fresh design, bringing it more in line with its larger adventure siblings. Another key improvement is the introduction of a projector LED headlight, replacing the previous halogen unit for better visibility.
Expected Pricing
While KTM has yet to announce the official pricing, a price hike is expected when the bike launches. For reference, the outgoing model is priced at Rs 2.48 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
With these updates, the 2025 KTM 250 Adventure looks set to offer a more refined and feature-rich riding experience while maintaining its lightweight and versatile nature.
