2025 Harley-Davidson Street Bob 117 launched in India at ₹18.77 lakh

Harley-Davidson has brought back the Street Bob to India for 2025, this time with a serious performance upgrade. Priced at ₹18.77 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), the new Street Bob becomes the most affordable entry point into Harley’s Softail family, while packing the same 117 cubic inch (1,923cc) Milwaukee-Eight engine that powers the brand’s flagship cruisers.

Big motor in a lean package

The Street Bob’s return marks a shift from its earlier iteration, which ran a smaller 107CI motor. The new 117CI, air/liquid-cooled V-Twin produces 91hp at 5,020rpm and a massive 156Nm of torque at just 2,750rpm, paired with a 6-speed gearbox. Despite the near 2-litre engine, Harley has kept the weight relatively low at 293kg (kerb), making it the lightest model in the 117CI line-up.

Suspension is handled by a 49mm conventional telescopic fork up front and a preload-adjustable monoshock at the rear, both mounted to a simple tubular steel cradle frame. Braking duties are taken care of by single discs at either end, with dual-channel ABS as standard.

Modern electronics with classic charm

While the design remains faithful to the Street Bob’s classic low-slung cruiser stance—complete with mini ape-hanger handlebars—there are plenty of updates beneath the skin. The 2025 model introduces three ride modes (Sport, Road and Rain), cornering traction control, cornering ABS, drag-torque slip control, and even cruise control, all managed via an IMU-based system.

A new digi-analogue instrument cluster mounted on the handlebar replaces the older compact LCD unit, improving readability while preserving the retro vibe.

Dimensions and practicality

The Street Bob continues to emphasise accessibility, with a low 680mm seat height, slim proportions, and relatively manageable ergonomics. Ground clearance is rated at 125mm, which is actually higher than Harley’s Breakout (115mm) and Heritage Classic (120mm). The bike runs on 19-inch front and 16-inch rear cast alloy wheels with 100-section and 150-section tyres, respectively. Harley also offers optional cross-spoke wheels at a hefty ₹87,000 premium.

The 13.2-litre fuel tank isn’t large by touring standards, but it complements the Street Bob’s stripped-down, minimalist appeal.

Colours and pricing

The 2025 Street Bob is available in five paint schemes, with prices varying slightly depending on the finish:

  • Billiard Grey – Standard, no extra charge

  • Vivid Black – +₹10,000

  • Centerline Yellow – +₹14,000

  • Iron Horse Metallic (Dark Green, Gloss) – +₹16,000

  • Purple Abyss Denim (Matte) – +₹16,000

At ₹18.77 lakh, the Street Bob undercuts every other Softail in Harley’s portfolio by a considerable margin, with the next closest model priced well above ₹20 lakh. This makes it an attractive option for buyers looking to step into Harley’s big-cruiser world without stretching too far.

Verdict

The Street Bob 117 offers classic Harley-Davidson design with modern rider aids, a powerful motor, and a relatively approachable price tag within the brand’s premium line-up. For enthusiasts seeking an authentic cruiser that blends old-school charm with contemporary electronics, it could well be the sweet spot in Harley’s 2025 range.
