2025 Bajaj Pulsar NS400Z to Launch Soon with Key Upgrades

The 2025 Bajaj Pulsar NS400Z is set to hit showrooms soon, and this time, Bajaj has made a couple of meaningful upgrades that should significantly improve the riding experience. The standout enhancements include new sintered brake pads and a wider rear tyre—changes aimed at addressing previous shortcomings.

Improved Braking with Sintered Pads

One of the biggest complaints with the earlier version of the NS400Z was its underwhelming braking performance, largely due to the use of organic brake pads. Bajaj has now addressed this by switching to sintered brake pads in the 2025 model. These pads offer superior heat resistance, better durability, and significantly improved braking efficiency—something riders will surely appreciate, especially during spirited riding or emergency stops.

Enhanced Grip with New Apollo Tyres

Another welcome upgrade comes in the form of new Apollo Alpha H1 radial tyres, now offered at both ends. Previously, the bike was equipped with MRF REVZ-S tyres, with only the rear being a radial. The move to Apollo radials all around should improve grip, stability, and overall cornering confidence. Additionally, the rear tyre has been upsized from a 140-section to a 150-section, offering a broader contact patch and more sure-footed handling.

Same Engine, Better Dynamics

While the mechanical heart of the Pulsar NS400Z remains unchanged—a 373cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine producing 40PS and 35Nm—the changes to braking and tyres should dramatically improve the bike’s dynamics. Handling, which was previously a weak spot, is expected to feel sharper and more predictable with the new setup. That said, a proper road test will give the final word on just how much better it performs.

Pricing and Launch Expectations

The 2025 NS400Z is expected to be priced around ₹10,000 more than the current model, which retails at ₹1,81,318 (ex-showroom, Delhi). Even with the slight price bump, it would remain the most affordable 40PS motorcycle in India—a strong value proposition in its segment.

Final Thoughts

With these targeted updates, Bajaj appears to be refining what was already a performance-packed motorcycle. The improved brakes and upgraded tyres could be just what the NS400Z needed to become a more well-rounded machine. The official launch is expected in the coming weeks, so stay tuned for a detailed ride review soon.
