ZELIO Ebikes, a prominent player in India’s electric two-wheeler industry, has set its sights on a significant milestone—expanding its dealership network to 400 locations by March 2025. This ambitious target aligns with the company’s broader strategy to capitalize on the increasing demand for sustainable transportation in both urban and semi-urban areas. With a robust network of 256 dealerships already in place, ZELIO is rapidly scaling its operations to meet the needs of a growing customer base, offering eco-friendly and innovative mobility solutions.
Currently, the company operates through 224 showrooms, with one following a company-owned, company-operated (COCO) model, while the rest adhere to a franchise-owned, franchise-operated (FOFO) model. Key markets like Hisar, Kaithal, Gwalior, Chhatarpur, and Bhubaneswar have shown exceptional performance, driving substantial growth in ZELIO’s sales. These cities underscore the company’s effective market penetration and the growing demand for affordable, reliable electric two-wheelers. State-wise, West Bengal leads the charge with 45 dealerships, followed by Uttar Pradesh with 42, Haryana with 40, Gujarat with 27, Punjab with 26, Rajasthan with 19, Madhya Pradesh with 11, Delhi with 8, and Maharashtra and Odisha with 7 each. ZELIO also has a presence in other states, including Jharkhand, Uttarakhand, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Chhattisgarh, Bihar, Jammu & Kashmir, Assam, Kerala, Kanyakumari, Tripura, and Bangalore.
Looking ahead, ZELIO is focusing on expanding into new regions, particularly in Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Jharkhand, Bihar, and Karnataka, where the demand for electric vehicles is expected to surge. The company is gearing up to launch targeted marketing campaigns to strengthen its presence in these states, aiming to bring its innovative e-scooters to a broader audience.
Kunal Arya, Co-Founder and Managing Director of ZELIO Ebikes, shared his excitement about the company’s rapid growth: “At ZELIO Ebikes, our mission has always been to push the boundaries of electric mobility. The goal of achieving 400 dealerships by March 2025 is not just a business objective but a reflection of our unwavering commitment to sustainable transportation. Every new dealership we open brings us closer to reducing carbon emissions and transforming urban commuting in India. I am immensely grateful to our current dealers, whose trust and dedication have been instrumental in our success. Their partnership has empowered us to create a lasting impact in the market. As we expand, our focus remains on delivering innovative, accessible solutions that meet the evolving needs of our customers.”
ZELIO’s growth has been fueled by the popularity of its cutting-edge models, including the GRACY and X Men Series, which have gained widespread popularity among urban commuters for their practicality and stylish designs. Building on this momentum, ZELIO recently launched the Eeva series, designed to meet the needs of modern commuters. The company is also preparing to enter the commercial sector with its upcoming High-Speed Cargo Scooter, which boasts a 90-kilometer range and a 150-kilogram load capacity. This new model highlights ZELIO’s foresight in addressing the growing demand for electric solutions in logistics and commercial transport.
As ZELIO continues to expand into new markets and strengthen its dealership network, the company is poised to play a key role in driving India’s transition to cleaner, more efficient transportation.
