Hyundai Motor India Rural Sales Crosses 1 Lakh Sales Milestone Adds a 100th wheel to its Fleet of Mobile Service Vans

On February 3, 2023, in Gurugram: India’s first smart mobility solutions provider, Hyundai Motor India Ltd. (HMIL), and the country’s largest exporter since its beginning, set a rural sales benchmark of more than 1,000,000 units in CY2022. HMI sent its 100th Mobile Service Van (MSV) to Siliguri, West Bengal, to show how much it cares about rural markets. It also made its Doorstep Service programme stronger in these emerging markets.

Hyundai is always looking for new ways to improve customer experiences. This, combined with a world-class product line and a large footprint of 1,485 service outlets in 935 cities, has helped HMIL become more popular in rural markets. This growth has also been made possible by a huge improvement in the country’s road system and a rise in the income from farming.

Commenting on the new milestone in the Rural markets, Mr. Tarun Garg, Chief Operating Officer of HMIL, said, “We feel overwhelmed by the immense faith that customers from Rural India have shown in the brand Hyundai. This has helped us achieve this crucial feat of over 1,000,000 sales in the Rural Markets, registering a growth of 17% across Rural India from CY2019 to CY2022. With the addition of the 100th Mobile Service Van to the network, HMI is trying to show its customers that it cares about them and values their time by making after-sales solutions easy to get to.

Mr. Garg also said, “We are confident that Hyundai’s growing rural network of 600+ outlets with 97% Service facilities availability will act as a catalyst to give customers peace of mind and make them happy.” Since customers in the upcountry want more care and attention, HMI has increased its rural staff to more than 5,000 in CY’22.

Hyundai Motor India Rural Sales Crosses 1 Lakh

With its first Mobile Service Van in Meerut, Hyundai Motor India Ltd. (HMIL) started its Doorstep Car Care initiative (Uttar Pradesh). The Mobile Service Vans have been set up with the tools and supplies they need to do regular Maintenance Services and repairs. The vans are sent out with a team of specially trained technicians to meet the needs of customers who are on the go or who can’t get to their nearest Hyundai Workshops. This makes owning a Hyundai easier for people who can’t get there.

Customers in rural India have tastes that are mostly the same as those in cities. The most popular models are the CRETA and the VENUE. In rural areas, the GRAND i10 NIOS has also won the hearts of many customers.
