Uklana, 31 January 2023: Honda India Foundation, which is the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) arm of all Honda group companies in India, gave 30 water tankers to 30 villages in Uklana, Haryana, to help improve the lives of the people there.
HIF gave Uklana, which is in a semi-arid area and has trouble getting enough water, 30 water tankers that can hold 5,000 litres each. More than 15,000 households will be able to live because of these tankers. They will also solve the problem of drinking water and sanitation in Ukrana.
To recognise this contribution, a flag-off ceremony was held with Shri Anoop Dhanak (Honorable Minister of State, Labour and Employment, Government of Haryana), Shri Rajender Litani (Chairman, Haryana Khadi and Gramodyog Board), Shri Ravinder Sharma (Tehsildar, Uklana), Shri Satyaprakash Patil (Operating Head, Honda India Foundation), and other dignitaries from the Government of Haryana and HIF.
Mr. Atsushi Ogata, Chairman of the Honda India Foundation (HIF), said this about this project: “Honda India Foundation aims to solve problems that affect the masses. We at HIF are happy to help out with these water tankers, which will make it easier for people in the area to get water. I’d like to thank Shri Anoop Dhanak Ji, the Honorable Minister of State for Labour and Employment in the Government of Haryana, for giving me this chance to help the people of Uklana. We are dedicated to helping people and will continue to back many more projects like this in the future.
