Volkswagen Introduces Virtus GT Line and GT Plus Sport Trims

Volkswagen has expanded its Virtus sedan lineup with the introduction of two new trims: the GT Line and GT Plus Sport, priced at Rs 14.08 lakh and Rs 17.85 lakh (ex-showroom, India), respectively. The automaker has also enhanced the features across the existing Virtus range, mirroring updates made to the Taigun SUV, including the addition of chrome and sport exterior packages.

Virtus GT Line: Key Highlights

The GT Line trim brings a sportier, blacked-out aesthetic previously exclusive to the 1.5 TSI variants, now extended to the 1.0 TSI variants. Initially showcased in March, the GT Line has now been officially launched, slotting just below the Topline trim in the 1.0 TSI lineup.

This variant features blacked-out alloy wheels, grille, roof, wing mirrors, and bumpers, with dark chrome door handles and a gloss black rear spoiler. The Virtus badging also receives a blacked-out finish, and new GT Line badges adorn the fenders and boot lid.

In terms of features, the Virtus GT Line includes an electric sunroof, 8.0-inch digital instrument cluster, 10-inch infotainment system, front fog lamps, red ambient lighting, aluminium pedals, TPMS, hill hold control, six airbags, and ESC. The interior is finished in all-black upholstery with grey stitching for a sleek look.
