Tata Motors will be the official partner of the 2023 Indian Premier League, which starts tomorrow. This is the sixth year in a row that Tata Motors has been the official partner. As part of this partnership, the Tiago.ev, the brand’s entry-level electric vehicle, will be shown in all 12 stadiums in India.
“After 5 successful runs in a row, we’re back with the Tata IPL to show off our newest EV, the Tiago.ev, which is a premium electric hatchback. Vivek Srivatsa, Head of Marketing, Sales, and Services Strategy at Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Ltd., said, “With this exciting new product, we want to make EVs more accessible to everyone in India.”
India started selling the Tiago.ev last year for Rs 8.49 lakh (introductory price, ex-showroom, across India). But Tata Motors put an end to that in February of this year by raising the prices of all versions of the EV by Rs 20,000.
The Tiago.ev comes in seven different styles and has two different battery packs: 19.2 kWh and 24 kWh. The XE and XT trim levels are available for the first one. This one comes with the XT (and XT too), XZ+, and XZ+ Tech LUX models.
All models come with a 3.3 kW AC charger, but the XZ+ and XZ+ Tech LUX can also be bought with a 7.2 kW AC charger.
As the official partner, the brand will also set up a number of “connect with the nation” events in all 12 stadiums. The “100 reasons to go.ev with Tiago.ev” campaign, which was thought up by FCB Ulka, will be one such interesting event.
It will focus on the top mental barriers that keep people from buying EVs and address them through a series of funny, slice-of-life stories that people can relate to.
This year’s match will also have the exciting Tiago.ev Electric Striker Award. The players with the highest strike rate in a match will win not only a prized trophy, but also Rs 1,000,000 in cash.
In addition, the winner of the Tiago.ev Electric Striker of the Season will get to take home a brand-new Tata Tiago.ev.
Also, every time the ball hits the Tiago.ev car display on the ground, Tata Motors will give Rs 500,000 to plant saplings in Coffee Plantations in Karnataka to help improve the biodiversity of the area.
Since 2018, Tata Motors has been working with the Indian Premiere League to show off some of its best cars, such as the Nexon, Harrier, Altroz, Safar, and Punch. Powered by the Tiago.ev. At the heart of this year’s game is a symbol of the brand’s promise to speed up the transition to a new era of greener transportation.
