Hyundai has officially revealed the upcoming Exter SUV with bookings open for a token amount of Rs 11,000. The Exter will be available in five trims, with two engines and two gearbox options.
Engine and Powertrain Options
– The Exter gets a 1.2-litre petrol engine along with a CNG fuel option.
– The Exter petrol can be opted with either a five-speed manual or an AMT automatic transmission.
– The Exter CNG will be available as a manual transmission only.
– Expected power and torque outputs: 1.2-litre engine – 83hp and 114Nm; CNG powertrain – 69hp and 95.2Nm.

Hyundai will offer the Exter in a total of six monotone exterior paint shades: Atlas White, Cosmic Blue, Fiery Red, Starry Night, Titan Grey, and a new-for-Hyundai Ranger Khaki. The Exter also gets the option of three dual-tone colors based on Atlas White, Cosmic Blue, and Ranger Khaki.
India Launch Timeline
Prices for the Exter SUV are expected to be announced by late July or early August this year. It will be positioned below the Venue and will be Hyundai’s most affordable SUV in India, rivalling the Tata Punch and Citroen C3.
