Hyundai Creta Electric Interior and Features Unveiled

Hyundai has shared more details about the highly anticipated Creta Electric ahead of its January 17 launch. Set to compete with models like the Tata Curvv EV, Mahindra BE 6, and MG ZS EV, the Creta Electric boasts a host of advanced features, two battery options, and a refreshed interior design.

Interior Design and Key Features

Hyundai Creta Electric Interior

The Creta Electric retains much of the design and features from its petrol and diesel counterparts, including a dual-screen setup with two 10.25-inch displays for infotainment and instrumentation. The cabin is equipped with dual-zone climate control, a Bose 8-speaker audio system, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, and Hyundai’s advanced Level 2 ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems).

However, some distinct updates differentiate the electric variant. A new steering wheel design and a reimagined center console are prominent changes. Thanks to the shift-by-wire system, operated via a control stalk on the steering column, the center console now houses cup holders, buttons for the electronic parking brake, auto-hold, and drive modes.

Exclusive Features in the Excellence Variant

The top-spec Excellence trim of the Creta Electric comes loaded with innovative technologies, including:

  • Digital Key: Unlock and lock the car using your smartphone.
  • In-Car Payment System: Pay for EV charging directly from the car.
  • Single-Pedal Driving: Simplifies driving in city traffic.
  • Vehicle-to-Load (V2L): Provides external charging capability through a dedicated outlet under the rear seats.
  • Voice Commands & Bluelink Connectivity: Enhances user convenience with seamless infotainment control and remote car functions.

Comprehensive Safety Suite

Safety remains a priority for the Creta Electric, which includes a robust ADAS package. Key safety features include:

  • Lane Keep Assist, Forward Collision Warning, and Blind Spot Monitoring.
  • Adaptive Cruise Control and 360-degree cameras.
  • Six airbags, ESC, hill-start assist, and tyre pressure monitoring.

Performance and Battery Options

The Creta Electric will be offered with two battery pack choices:

  • 42kWh: Paired with a 135hp front-axle motor, offering a range of 390km (MIDC).
  • 51.4kWh: Powers a 171hp motor, delivering a range of 473km and a 0-100km/h sprint time of just 7.9 seconds.

Charging options include an 11kW AC charger, which can fully recharge the larger battery in approximately four hours. A DC fast charger can achieve 10-80% charge in just 58 minutes. Additional features like Active Air Flaps enhance aerodynamics and cooling efficiency.

With its blend of advanced technology, safety features, and modern design, the Hyundai Creta Electric aims to make a strong impact in the growing electric SUV market.
