Step 5: Your RC details will be saved in the app’s dashboard and can be viewed at any time.
Accessing your RC using DigiLocker
DigiLocker is a digital document wallet that provides access to authentic digital documents such as Aadhaar, PAN, RC, DL, etc. The documents issued in the DigiLocker system are considered equivalent to the original documents as per Section 9A of the IT Rules, 2016.

Step 1: Download the DigiLocker application on your smartphone from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store.

Step 2: Sign up or log in to your DigiLocker account.
Step 3: Once logged in, click on the “Search” button on the bottom navigation bar. Type “RC” and click on “Registration of Vehicles” in the search results. Alternatively, under the Categories section on the Search page, click on “Transport” >> “Ministry of Road Transport and Highways” and select “Registration of Vehicles.”
Step 4: Your name will be prefilled from Aadhaar. Enter your car Registration Number and the entire Chassis Number (17 characters). Then, click on “Get Document.”
Step 5: Your Registration Certificate will be displayed on the screen. You can access your RC anytime by going to the “Issued Documents” section.
