Hero MotoCorp, the world’s largest manufacturer of motorcycles and scooters, has launched the new Xtreme 160R 4V. This exciting addition to the Xtreme brand aims to further strengthen Hero MotoCorp’s presence in the premium motorcycle category and appeal to young riders worldwide.
The Xtreme 160R 4V was unveiled at Hero MotoCorp’s advanced R&D facility, the Centre of Innovation and Technology (CIT) in Jaipur. It offers a compelling package of performance, bold design, smart features, and enhanced control.
The motorcycle will be available in three variants: Standard, Connected 2.0, and Pro, which features Upside Down forks. Customers can find these variants at Hero MotoCorp showrooms across the country at attractive price points: INR 127,300/- (Standard), INR 132,800/- (Connected 2.0), and INR 136,500/- (Pro) (all prices Ex-Showroom, Delhi).
Niranjan Gupta, CEO of Hero MotoCorp, expressed his excitement about the launch, stating that it marks the beginning of a significant year for the company’s premiumization journey. He emphasized their commitment to introducing class-defining products in the premium motorcycle space, with the Xtreme 160R 4V being the first of many launches planned for the year. Gupta also highlighted the company’s focus on growing volumes in the higher engine capacity segment with unique offerings.
Ranjivjit Singh, Chief Growth Officer of Hero MotoCorp, described the Xtreme 160R 4V as a perfect blend of acceleration, precision, and style. Positioned as a true Dragster, it aims to strengthen the sub-culture of Drag Racing in India. Singh also mentioned that the Xpulse and Xtreme models have established a strong connection with customers in the premium motorcycle segment, and as they expand their premium portfolio, they intend to create Power Brands with more powerful, performance-oriented, feature-rich, and stylish products.

The Xtreme 160R 4V sets a new standard for real-world performance. It has a 163cc 4 Valve Air-Oil cooled BS-VI (OBD-II+E20) engine with a maximum power output of 16.9 Ps at 8500 RPM and a maximum torque of 14.6Nm at 6500 RPM. The bike is the fastest in its class, going from 0 to 60 km/h in just 4.41 seconds. The Xtreme 160R 4V is the fastest* 160cc motorbike in its category. It has the best-in-class times for the quarter-mile drag race, going from 0 to 100 km/h, and going from 0 to top speed.

The new Xtreme 160R 4V stands out because it is so accurate. With the best-in-class 37mm dia inverted Front Fork Suspension by KYB (in the Pro Variant) and a 7-step Pre-Load adjustable rear suspension, it offers a unique balance of comfort and control. The bike’s shape has been changed to make it more agile and easy to move around. It has sharp handling that makes it feel very stable on the road and for turning at higher speeds. The motorbike also has the lowest kerb weight in its class at 144 kg (Base & Connected 2.0 Variant) and 145Kg (Pro Variant) and strong petal disc brakes.

The Xtreme 160R 4V is ready to take on miles with confidence. It has an impressively muscular shape that gives off a sense of road control and a sporty attitude. The new sporty and chiseled fuel tank, under cowl, and rear grip are all examples of the aerodynamic and powerful design language.
The new fairing winglets and the lowered robotic headlight give the motorbike a more aggressive look. The single or split seats that can be switched out make it easier and more comfortable to ride.

The combination of more legroom for the rider and the passenger, a lower handlebar with a comfortable pillion split seat option, and plenty of split rear grips makes both the rider and the passenger feel even more relaxed and safe.

The Xtreme 160R 4V is easy to use and comfy, even over long distances, thanks to its tech-enabled features. The Xtreme 160R 4V looks sporty and powerful because it has an all-LED package. This LED is for the position lamp, Low Beam, High Beam, Tail Lamp, Signature Tail Lamp, and winkers.
With the speedometer turned upside down, users can see and control everything. It has a screen with more than 20 features, such as Bluetooth Status, Battery Health Status, Service Alert, Gear Position, ABS/Engine Malfunction, Call/SMS/Missed Call messages, etc.
Hero Link 2.0
The Hero Connect 2.0 feature on the Xtreme 160R 4V takes the riding experience to a whole new level. It does this by sending the rider 25+ important messages about the vehicle’s health and safety through the motorcycle’s display and a mobile app.
Security: Remote Immobilization lets users move or stop the car from a distance, making the bike safer. The Geo Fence feature also sends an alert when the car enters or leaves a pre-set geographical area. On the App, users can also get tips when their phone is stolen or when the battery is taken out.
Safety: When the rider presses the SOS button, a message is sent to the emergency contacts the user has set up in the App. Other safety warnings include low fuel, going too fast, tipping over, etc.
Navigation: Includes in-app navigation services, real-time car tracking, and the option to share your location.
Driving Report: Keeps a record of how you drive, including things like how fast you go, how hard you accelerate, how hard you brake, and how long you let the engine run.
Features that can be used with Bluetooth, like Call, SMS Alerts, Turn-by-Turn Navigation, Find My Car, etc.
