Hero’s electric mobility arm, Vida, has unveiled its latest electric scooter lineup, the V2 series. Available in three variants—Lite, Plus, and Pro—the new V2 range starts at an accessible ₹96,000 (ex-showroom, Delhi).
Vida V2 Lineup Overview
Building on the success of the V1 range, the V2 series introduces the entry-level V2 Lite, featuring a compact 2.2kWh battery and a claimed IDC range of 94 km. With a top speed of 69 km/h, the Lite is designed for urban riders and offers two riding modes: Ride and Eco. It shares several features with the higher-end models, including a 7-inch touchscreen TFT display.
Positioned as an affordable option, the V2 Lite rivals other popular e-scooters like the TVS iQube 2.2 and Bajaj Chetak 2903 in both pricing and specifications.
The mid-tier V2 Plus, priced at ₹1.15 lakh, comes with a larger 3.44kWh battery, an 85 km/h top speed, and a claimed range of 143 km. Meanwhile, the flagship V2 Pro offers the most impressive specs, with a 3.94kWh battery, a top speed of 90 km/h, and an extended range of 165 km. The Pro is priced at ₹1.35 lakh, completing the lineup.
Warranty and Features
All Vida V2 models include a 5-year/50,000 km warranty for the scooter and a 3-year/30,000 km warranty for the battery. This robust after-sales support adds value to an already competitive product.
Market Potential
Hero Vida has been gaining traction in the EV market, with consistent monthly growth in sales. The introduction of the affordable V2 Lite and a rapidly expanding dealership network are expected to bolster its position among the top EV brands in India.
With its compelling mix of affordability, performance, and reliability, the Vida V2 range is poised to attract a wide spectrum of urban commuters and strengthen Hero’s presence in the electric mobility segment.
