CFMoto has introduced a brand-new sub-brand named CFLite, aimed specifically at the small-capacity motorcycle segment. This announcement was made at the 2025 Makina Moto Expo in the Philippines, signaling the company’s intent to tap into emerging markets like South-East Asia and South America where demand for affordable and practical motorcycles remains high.
What is CFLite?
CFLite is CFMoto’s strategic initiative to offer low-displacement motorcycles under a separate branding. The goal is to cater to everyday riders looking for lightweight, efficient, and cost-effective machines without compromising on design or technology.
The CFLite Line-up
At launch, the CFLite brand debuts with three models: 250NK, 250SR, and Dual 230.
CFLite 250NK
A street-naked motorcycle designed for daily commuting and city riding.
-
Engine: 249cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled
-
Power & Torque: 27.4 hp and 22 Nm
-
Hardware: Telescopic fork, rear monoshock, disc brakes front and rear
-
Features: LCD digital console, upright ergonomics, 12.3L fuel tank
CFLite 250SR
This fully-faired sportbike shares the same underpinnings as the 250NK but comes with a sportier riding posture.
-
Engine: 249cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled
-
Power & Torque: 27.4 hp and 22 Nm (same as 250NK)
-
Design: Aggressive stance with clip-on handlebars
-
Chassis: Common with the 250NK
Interestingly, both these models bear a strong resemblance to the Keeway K300R and K300N, which isn’t surprising since CFMoto’s parent company, Qianjiang Motorcycle Group, has business ties with brands like Keeway and QJMotor.
CFLite Dual 230
A lightweight dual-sport offering aimed at adventure and off-road enthusiasts.
-
Engine: 223cc, air-cooled, carbureted, single-cylinder
-
Wheels: 21-inch front / 18-inch rear
-
Suspension: Long-travel setup for better off-road capability
-
Braking: Disc brakes at both ends
-
Tech: Fully-digital LCD instrument cluster, halogen headlamp
While the Dual 230 offers rugged capability, its outdated carbureted engine may limit its chances in markets with stricter emission standards.
India Launch? Not Likely
CFMoto is preparing to re-enter the Indian market soon, starting with the launch of the 450MT adventure bike. However, the new CFLite models are unlikely to make it to India anytime soon, especially the Dual 230, which may not comply with India’s stringent OBD-2B emission norms.
