Aprilia Tuono 457 India Launch Confirmed for February

Aprilia is set to introduce the Tuono 457 in India, with the official launch event scheduled for mid-February. The motorcycle was first unveiled at EICMA 2024, following the successful debut of the RS 457 just over a year ago.

Expected Price and Key Features

The Tuono 457 stands out with its distinctive naked-bike styling, setting it apart from its faired counterpart, the RS 457, and the larger-capacity Tuono models. One of the key differences is its slightly smaller fuel tank, with a capacity of 12.7 litres compared to the RS 457’s 13 litres. Despite this, both bikes share an identical kerb weight of 175 kg.

Under the hood, the Tuono 457 is powered by the same 457cc parallel-twin engine, delivering 47.6 hp and 43.5 Nm of torque, mated to a 6-speed gearbox and a slip-assisted clutch. A bi-directional quickshifter will be offered as an optional accessory.

The bike is equipped with the same advanced electronics found in the RS 457, including a 5-inch TFT display, Bluetooth connectivity, and three selectable riding modes that adjust ABS, traction control, and throttle response. It will be available in two colour options: red and grey.

Expected to be priced below the RS 457, the Tuono 457 will likely be offered around the Rs 4 lakh mark, making it a direct competitor to the KTM 390 Duke and Yamaha MT-03. For reference, the RS 457 is priced at Rs 4.20 lakh (ex-showroom, India).
