BMW India has introduced the refreshed 2024 M340i, now available at a price of ₹74.9 lakh. Assembled locally, the performance-oriented sedan can be booked starting today via BMW’s official website or through authorized dealerships across India.
What’s New in the 2024 BMW M340i?
Under the hood, the M340i retains its powerful 3.0-litre, six-cylinder turbo-petrol engine, generating 374hp and enhanced by a 48V mild-hybrid system. Despite minimal changes in performance, BMW has made adaptive suspension a standard feature, further improving the car’s ride quality and handling. With a claimed 0-100 kph time of just 4.4 seconds, BMW asserts that the M340i remains the fastest ICE vehicle manufactured in India.
Enhanced Interior and Technology
Inside, the 2024 M340i now features Vernasca leather seats with signature M stitching and a “Widescreen Curved Display” that combines a 14.9-inch touchscreen and a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, both powered by BMW’s latest iDrive 8.5 software. Subtle upgrades include redesigned AC vents with new knobs for easier adjustments.
New Color Options
BMW has also expanded the color palette for the M340i, now offering Arctic Race Blue and Fire Red, in addition to the existing Dravit Grey and Black Sapphire, bringing the total options to four. Optional M Performance accessories remain available for those looking to further personalize their vehicle.
Pricing and Competition
The price increase of ₹2 lakh positions the updated M340i at ₹74.9 lakh, with rivals like the Mercedes-AMG C 43 (₹98.25 lakh) and the Audi S5 (₹77.32 lakh-83.6 lakh) also competing in the segment.
