Yamaha has introduced a new variant of its most affordable scooter, the Fascino, with the launch of the Fascino S. Priced at Rs 93,730, this new model features several subtle updates and an exclusive new feature.
New Features and Variants
The Fascino S comes in three matte shades and includes the unique ‘Answer Back’ feature, accessible via Yamaha’s mobile app. This app-based feature, known as ‘Yamaha Scooter Answer Back,’ helps locate your scooter by activating both left and right indicators along with a horn sound for two seconds.
Specifications
Other than the new feature, the Fascino remains largely unchanged for 2024. It continues to be powered by a 125cc single-cylinder engine producing 8.2hp and 10.3Nm of torque. The scooter weighs 99 kg and offers 21 liters of underseat storage.
Pricing and Competition
The Yamaha Fascino is available in three variants: Drum, Disc, and S. The entry-level Drum variant is priced at Rs 79,900 (ex-showroom Delhi), while the Disc variant is available at Rs 91,130 (ex-showroom Delhi). The S variant starts at Rs 93,730 (ex-showroom Delhi) for the matte red or matte black shades, with the matte dark blue option priced slightly higher at Rs 94,530 (ex-showroom Delhi).
The Fascino competes with other popular models in the market, including the Suzuki Access 125, Honda Activa 125, TVS Jupiter 125, Yamaha Ray ZR 125, and the Hero Destini 125 Xtec.
