TVS Motor Company has introduced a new variant to its popular scooter line-up—the Jupiter 125 DT SXC—priced at ₹88,942 (ex-showroom). This version expands the Jupiter 125 range to four variants, which now starts at ₹80,740 for the base Drum-Alloy model and goes up to ₹92,001 for the top-spec SmartXonnect variant.
What’s New in the Jupiter 125 DT SXC?
While the overall design and performance remain consistent with the other variants, the DT SXC brings some noteworthy updates. The highlight is a new colour LCD instrument cluster that supports Bluetooth connectivity, including turn-by-turn navigation—a feature previously reserved for higher trims.
In terms of aesthetics, the DT SXC also gets two fresh dual-tone paint options: Ivory Brown and Ivory Grey, adding a premium visual touch.
Mechanical Specs Stay the Same
Under the bodywork, the scooter continues to be powered by a 124cc single-cylinder engine that delivers 8.5hp at 6,500rpm and 11.1Nm of torque at 4,500rpm. The suspension setup includes telescopic forks up front and twin rear shock absorbers. It weighs in at 108kg and offers 163mm of ground clearance—on par with its segment.
Practicality and Rivals
The Jupiter 125 DT SXC retains the model’s hallmark practicality with 33 litres of underseat storage, plus an extra 2 litres of space in the front. Priced ₹3,500 above the Disc variant and ₹3,000 below the top-end SmartXonnect model, the DT SXC slots in as an upper mid-tier offering.
It competes with other popular 125cc scooters such as the Suzuki Access 125, Honda Activa 125, Hero Destini 125, and Yamaha Fascino.
