TVS Motor Company has introduced a new top-spec variant of the Apache RTR 160 4V, featuring premium golden USD forks. Priced at ₹1.40 lakh (ex-showroom), this variant becomes the most expensive in the Apache 160 4V lineup, costing ₹520 more than the dual-channel ABS variant.
What’s New?
The key upgrade in this variant is the 37mm USD forks, which add a touch of sportiness and premium appeal. With competitors like Hero and Bajaj already offering USD forks in this segment, TVS has stepped up to cater to the growing demand among Indian buyers for this stylish and performance-enhancing feature.
Powertrain and Features
Mechanically, the bike remains identical to its siblings. It continues to use the tried-and-tested 159.7cc air/oil-cooled single-cylinder engine, delivering 17.55hp and 14.73Nm of torque. The weight is unchanged at 146kg, and the bike retains its three riding modes – Sport, Urban, and Rain.
This variant is one of only two in the range equipped with dual-channel ABS, enhancing its safety credentials.
Price Comparison
The TVS Apache RTR 160 4V USD fork variant is priced on par with its key rival, the Bajaj Pulsar N160, at ₹1.40 lakh. Meanwhile, the Hero Xtreme 160R 4V offers slightly more affordability, with its top-spec variant priced at ₹1.39 lakh.
With this update, TVS positions the Apache RTR 160 4V as a competitive offering in the premium 160cc commuter segment, combining style, features, and performance.
