What’s New in the Hilux Black Edition?

The Black Edition enhances the Hilux’s rugged appeal with a stealthy, all-black treatment. While its core features remain unchanged, several accessories that were optional on the standard Hilux are now offered as standard.

Key exterior updates include:
Glossy black paint replacing chrome accents on the grille, ORVMs, and door handles
Blacked-out 18-inch alloy wheels for a sportier stance
Black wheel arch cladding and front skid plate, previously optional accessories

Inside, the Hilux already featured an all-black theme with a black dashboard and leather upholstery, so no further changes have been made.

Toyota now offers the Hilux Black Edition alongside the existing five color choices: Emotional Red, White Pearl Crystal Shine, Silver Metallic, Super White, and Grey Metallic.

Features & Equipment

The Black Edition retains all the features of the High trim, including:
🔹 8.0-inch touchscreen with Android Auto & Apple CarPlay
🔹 Dual-zone climate control
🔹 Front & rear parking sensors
🔹 LED headlights
🔹 8-way powered driver’s seat
🔹 Cruise control
🔹 7 airbags & rear camera

Engine & Performance

Under the hood, the Hilux Black Edition is powered by the same 2.8-litre diesel engine producing 204hp and 500Nm of torque. It is exclusively available with a 6-speed automatic gearbox and 4×4 drivetrain. Toyota has also equipped it with an electronic differential lock and an automatic limited-slip differential for superior off-road capability.

Black Editions: A Growing Trend

Special Black Edition models have become increasingly popular across multiple vehicle segments. The Hilux is the only pickup truck to offer an all-black variant, following in the footsteps of models like the Mahindra Scorpio N, Tata Harrier, Tata Safari, and MG Comet.
