Tata Nexon with Level 2 ADAS launched at ₹13.53 lakh: Now safer and smarter

Tata Motors has expanded the Nexon lineup with the introduction of Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) on the petrol-powered model. Priced from ₹13.53 lakh (ex-showroom), the tech-laden variant is available exclusively on the top-spec Nexon Fearless+ S DCA trim. This move comes just weeks after the carmaker introduced ADAS features on the Nexon EV, marking another big step towards democratizing active safety technology in India.

Tata Nexon ADAS variant details

The ADAS-equipped Nexon sits above the previous range-topping Fearless+ S DCA trim, commanding a premium of around ₹27,000. Buyers can also opt for the Red Dark Edition of this variant at ₹13.81 lakh, which adds a sportier cosmetic package to the mix.

Level 2 ADAS safety features

With the inclusion of Level 2 ADAS, the Nexon now offers a suite of active safety functions, including:

  • Forward Collision Warning (FCW)

  • Autonomous Emergency Braking (AEB)

  • Lane Departure Warning (LDW)

  • Lane Keep Assist (LKA)

  • High Beam Assist (HBA)

  • Traffic Sign Recognition (TSR)

These features not only enhance driver convenience but also significantly improve the Nexon’s overall safety credentials, especially during highway driving.

Tata Nexon Red Dark range expands

Alongside the ADAS update, Tata Motors has also expanded the Red Dark Edition lineup for the Nexon. The signature Red Dark theme—featuring an all-black exterior with red accents and a blacked-out cabin—can now be had with petrol, diesel, and CNG powertrains for the first time.

Variant Petrol Diesel CNG
Fearless+ S MT ₹12.44 lakh ₹13.52 lakh ₹13.36 lakh
Fearless+ S AMT ₹14.15 lakh
Fearless+ S DCA ₹13.81 lakh

Each of these Red Dark versions carries a ₹27,000–₹28,000 premium over the standard Fearless+ S variants they’re based on.

Tata Nexon ADAS: positioning and rivals

With this update, the Nexon becomes one of the most affordable compact SUVs in India to offer Level 2 ADAS—joining rivals like the Mahindra XUV3XO and Hyundai Venue N Line (with ADAS). The addition of active safety tech, combined with the Nexon’s feature-rich interior, robust build quality, and multiple powertrain choices, strengthens its position as one of the most complete SUVs in its class.
