Skoda has introduced the Elroq vRS, a high-performance version of its entry-level electric SUV. True to its vRS heritage, this variant boasts a significant power boost, aggressive styling updates, and enhanced driving dynamics.
Power & Performance: More Muscle, Faster Acceleration
The Elroq vRS is the most potent model in the lineup, delivering 340hp—an increase of 52hp over the standard versions—thanks to its dual-motor all-wheel-drive setup, shared with the Volkswagen ID.4 GTX. This power surge enables a 0-100kph sprint in just 5.4 seconds, making it 1.2 seconds quicker than its non-vRS counterparts. Skoda has also introduced two new external sound modes—Sport and Futuristic—adding an auditory thrill to its electric performance.
Battery, Range & Charging: Faster Refueling, Slightly Lower Range
Equipped with an 84kWh battery, the Elroq vRS delivers a WLTP-certified range of 550km, slightly less than the 85 variant due to its sportier tuning. However, it compensates with rapid charging capabilities—Skoda’s fastest yet—allowing a 10-80% recharge in just 26 minutes via 185kW DC fast charging. For home charging, the 11kW AC charger takes approximately eight hours for a full charge.
Chassis & Suspension: Lower, Stiffer, and More Engaging
The Elroq vRS features a retuned chassis with a sportier setup, sitting 15mm lower at the front and 10mm at the rear. Steering responsiveness has been enhanced, and the braking system now includes more powerful two-piston calipers at the front, ensuring sharper stopping power.
Exterior Design: Signature vRS Styling with an Exclusive Green Hue
While the overall silhouette remains familiar, the vRS variant distinguishes itself with the striking Mamba Green paintwork, a reworked front bumper with body-colored accents, and a honeycomb-patterned air dam. The blacked-out Skoda lettering, illuminated grille slats, vRS badging, and black roof rails further enhance its sporty appeal. LED matrix headlights, 20-inch alloy wheels (with optional 21-inch rims), and an all-black rear bumper with an extended reflector complete the bold look.
Interior & Features: Sporty Sophistication
Inside, the cabin receives a premium makeover with Alcantara trim across the dashboard, seats, center console, and armrest, complemented by bright green accents. The driver’s display (5-inch) and infotainment touchscreen (13-inch) feature exclusive vRS graphics, while an optional augmented reality head-up display adds a futuristic touch.
Other highlights include heated and massaging front seats (electrically adjustable for the driver, optional for the passenger), ambient lighting, four USB-C fast-charging ports, wireless charging, and an optional 12-speaker 675W premium sound system.
Launch & Availability
The Skoda Elroq vRS is set to hit global markets this summer, though its arrival in India remains uncertain. The standard Elroq was showcased at Auto Expo 2025 to gauge interest, but Skoda has yet to confirm its official launch for the Indian market.
