Rolls-Royce Spectre Black Badge Launched in India at ₹9.5 Crore

Rolls-Royce has officially launched the Spectre Black Badge in India, priced at ₹9.5 crore (ex-showroom, before customisation). Bookings for the ultra-luxurious electric coupe are now open at the brand’s showrooms in Chennai and New Delhi.

Revealed internationally earlier this year, the Spectre Black Badge is not only Rolls-Royce’s most powerful EV to date but also one of the most exclusive. It commands a premium of ₹1.88 crore over the standard Spectre EV, which was launched in India at ₹7.62 crore.

Performance and Powertrain

Under the hood — or more aptly, under the floor — the Spectre Black Badge features a dual-motor all-electric setup that produces 659hp and 1,075Nm of torque. That’s 74hp and 175Nm more than the standard Spectre, allowing it to accelerate from 0 to 100kph in just 4.1 seconds — 0.4 seconds quicker than the standard model. Despite the performance bump, the 102kWh battery and WLTP-certified range of up to 530km remain unchanged.

Chassis dynamics have been subtly re-engineered, with enhancements to the steering, suspension, and roll-stabilisation systems to ensure the car remains composed while delivering a more engaging drive.

Design and Exterior Enhancements

Visually, the Spectre Black Badge stands out with its signature dark-themed aesthetics. Key elements such as the Spirit of Ecstasy ornament, front grille, door handles, and badges are all finished in gloss black. The model rides on exclusive 23-inch forged alloy wheels and debuts a striking new exterior colour – Vapour Violet.

True to the brand’s bespoke philosophy, customers can choose from over 44,000 paint options or commission a completely unique hue through Rolls-Royce’s Bespoke division.

Optional features include an illuminated grille and door sills, available in four vibrant tones: Tailored Purple, Charles Blue, Chartreuse, and Forge Yellow.

Interior and Features

Inside, the Spectre Black Badge continues its theatrical flair with the brand’s signature Illuminated Fascia, featuring over 5,500 star-like elements integrated into the dashboard. The cabin offers five dynamic digital themes for the driver display: Vivid Grellow, Neon Nights, Cyan Fire, Ultraviolet, and Synth Wave.

The interior uses a blend of technical carbon fibre and brushed metal accents, maintaining a balance between cutting-edge design and the timeless luxury Rolls-Royce is known for.

With the Spectre Black Badge, Rolls-Royce has elevated its foray into electric mobility by blending high performance, exclusive craftsmanship, and bold styling — making it one of the most opulent EVs currently available in India.
