Revolt Motors, a pioneer in the electric motorcycle market with its popular RV400, has introduced its latest offering—the RV1 electric bike. The base model of the RV1 is priced at Rs 84,990, while the higher-spec RV1+ variant is available for Rs 99,990.
Key Features and Specifications:
- The RV1+ boasts a larger battery, offering extended range.
- Both models are equipped with a 6-inch LCD digital dashboard.
- This new addition becomes the most affordable model in Revolt’s lineup, positioned below the RV400.
In line with its competitive pricing, the RV1 offers more basic features compared to its elder sibling, the RV400. It’s powered by a 2.8kW mid-mounted motor, delivering power to the rear wheel via a chain drive. Although chains typically require more maintenance and are noisier than belt drives—an odd choice for an electric vehicle—this decision suggests a focus on cost-efficiency for the RV1.
The bike includes a reverse mode and is fitted with 240mm disc brakes on both ends, equipped with a combined braking system (CBS). Additional features include LED headlamps, tail lamps, and a fully digital LCD dash.
Battery and Range:
- The standard RV1 comes with a 2.2kWh battery, offering a claimed range of 100 km.
- The RV1+ variant is fitted with a larger 3.24kWh battery, delivering a claimed range of 160 km.
- Both versions come with a built-in charger. The RV1 charges from 0-80% in 2 hours and 15 minutes, while the RV1+ takes 3 hours and 30 minutes.
- Revolt claims the RV1+ supports fast charging, reaching 100% in just 1.5 hours, but details on the fast charger and its cost are yet to be announced.
Bookings for the RV1 are now open with a token amount of Rs 499, and deliveries are expected to start in 10 days.
