Oben Electric has introduced its second electric bike, the Rorr EZ, with an introductory ex-showroom price starting at Rs 89,999 in Delhi. This new model is available in three battery configurations: 2.6kWh, 3.4kWh, and 4.4kWh, catering to different range and performance needs.
Range, Speed, and Charging Options
The Rorr EZ offers three ride modes—Eco, City, and Havoc—each tailored for distinct range and speed priorities. Here’s how the range varies across battery options:
- 2.6kWh battery: Provides an IDC range of up to 80 km in Eco mode, 60 km in City, and 50 km in Havoc.
- 3.4kWh battery: Extends these ranges to 110 km, 90 km, and 70 km, respectively.
- 4.4kWh battery: Delivers a maximum range of 140 km in Eco, 110 km in City, and 90 km in Havoc.
All three variants can be charged using the standard charger provided, or with an optional fast charger (pricing yet to be disclosed). Charging times for a full recharge are approximately 4 hours for the 2.6kWh model, 5 hours for the 3.4kWh, and 7 hours for the 4.4kWh. With the fast charger, an 80% charge can be achieved in 45 minutes, 1 hour 30 minutes, and 2 hours, respectively.
Performance and Specifications
All Rorr EZ models feature the same 7.5kW motor with a torque of 52Nm, allowing them to accelerate from 0 to 40kph in just 3.3 seconds. Top speeds are capped at 95kph in Havoc mode, while Eco and City modes limit speeds to 40kph and 60kph. The seat height remains at 810mm across all variants, though weight varies slightly due to battery size: the 2.6kWh model weighs 138kg, the 3.4kWh weighs 143kg, and the 4.4kWh weighs 148kg.
Smart Features and Design Options
Equipped with smart functionalities such as geo-fencing, remote diagnostics, and bike tracking, the Rorr EZ is compatible with the Oben smartphone app for real-time monitoring. The base 2.6kWh model comes in a single color, Flux Grey, while the other two variants offer additional color choices, including Electro Amber, Surge Cyan, Lumina Green, and Photon White.
Pricing and Warranty
The Rorr EZ is priced at Rs 89,999 for the 2.6kWh variant, Rs 99,999 for the 3.4kWh variant, and Rs 1.10 lakh for the 4.4kWh variant. Oben offers a 3-year/50,000km warranty on the motor and battery, which can be extended to a 5-year/75,000km plan. Based in Bengaluru, Oben Electric has expanded its presence to key cities, including Delhi, Pune, Jaipur, and Kerala.
