MG Cyberster Pre-Bookings to Begin in March at Auto Expo 2025

JSW-MG Motor India has officially announced that pre-bookings for the highly anticipated MG Cyberster will open at the ongoing Auto Expo 2025. Official bookings are set to begin in March, with deliveries slated to start in April. The Cyberster marks MG’s entry into the electric sports car segment and will be available exclusively through MG Select premium showrooms, which will also feature the Mifa 9 MPV, sold as the M9 in India.

Performance, Battery, and Range of the MG Cyberster

The top-tier 77 kWh version of the Cyberster has been introduced in India, featuring a dual-motor setup that mimics an all-wheel-drive (AWD) configuration. This electric powertrain generates 510 horsepower and 725Nm of torque, enabling the Cyberster to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in just 3.2 seconds. On a full charge, the vehicle offers a range of 580 km, based on the China Light-Duty Vehicle Test Cycle (CLTC).

Additionally, MG may release a rear-wheel-drive (RWD) version with a smaller 64 kWh battery, contingent on customer demand and feedback.

Interior Features and Design of the Cyberster

Inside, the Cyberster exudes modern luxury, with a flat-bottomed steering wheel showcasing the octagonal ‘MG’ logo. A 10.25-inch driver’s display sits at the center, flanked by two 7-inch screens. The waterfall-style central console features a vertically oriented 7-inch touchscreen next to the drive selector, with controls for the soft top located just below it.

The cabin boasts touch-operated HVAC controls, eliminating the need for traditional physical buttons. Additional features include adaptive cruise control, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and a 360-degree parking camera. The Cyberster also includes a suite of ADAS technologies, such as blind-spot monitoring, lane-keeping assist, rear cross-traffic alert, and front collision warning.

Exterior Design and Colour Options

Inspired by the classic MG B Roadster, the Cyberster combines modern aesthetics with retro influences. Its front end is marked by a sealed nose and a sweeping air dam, giving it a distinctive ‘smiling’ expression. The vehicle also features India’s first-ever scissor doors on an electric vehicle.

The Cyberster rides on 20-inch alloy wheels and features dynamic, arrow-shaped tail-lights connected by an LED light bar. The rear bumper is complemented by a sporty diffuser finished in black.

In India, the Cyberster will be available in four colour options: red, grey, white, and yellow, while the European version offers six choices.

With its blend of performance, technology, and style, the MG Cyberster is poised to redefine the electric sports car landscape in India.
