Kia Introduces New GTX Trim and Color Options for Seltos and Sonet SUVs

Kia has launched a new mid-spec GTX trim for its Seltos and Sonet SUVs, introducing a fresh color option as well. The Seltos GTX is positioned between the HTX+ and GTX+(S) trims, while the Sonet GTX sits between the HTX+ and GTX+ trims. Both trims come exclusively with automatic gearbox options.

Here’s a breakdown of the pricing for the new GTX variants of the Seltos and Sonet:

Powertrain Seltos Sonet
1.0-litre turbo-petrol-DCT – Rs 13.71 lakh
1.5-litre turbo-petrol-DCT Rs 19 lakh –
1.5-litre diesel-AT Rs 19 lakh Rs 14.56 lakh

Kia Seltos: New Features The Seltos GTX trim enhances the HTX+ variant by adding an ADAS suite, a 360-degree camera, 18-inch alloy wheels, an electronic parking brake, and rain-sensing wipers. However, it does not include the Bose sound system, air purifier, and powered driver’s seat found in the higher GTX+(S) trim. As part of the GT Line, it features specific exterior and interior styling cues.

The Seltos GTX is available with a 160hp, 1.5-litre turbo-petrol-DCT or a 115hp, 1.5-litre diesel-AT powertrain. Additionally, a new Aurora Black Pearl paint option is now available for the X-Line variant, which was previously only offered in matte grey.

Kia Sonet: New Features The Sonet GTX trim builds on the HTX trim by adding a 360-degree camera and a powered driver’s seat, along with GT Line-specific exterior and interior cosmetic elements. It does not, however, include the Bose sound system, LED ambient lighting, and ADAS suite found in the GTX+.

The Sonet GTX is powered by either a 120hp, 1.0-litre turbo-petrol-DCT or a 115hp, 1.5-litre diesel-AT powertrain. The X-Line variant of the Sonet also benefits from the new Aurora Black paint shade, which was previously only available in a matte grey finish.

Additionally, Kia has made some adjustments to the Sonet lineup. The diesel-MT powertrain has been removed from the HTE and HTK trims, with the diesel range now starting from HTE(O). The turbo-petrol engine is now available in the mid-spec HTK trim with an iMT gearbox, priced at Rs 9.60 lakh.
