Kia EV6 Facelift Launched in India at ₹65.9 Lakh with 663km Range

Kia has introduced the updated EV6 in India, priced at ₹65.9 lakh (ex-showroom). The facelifted model comes with a larger, more efficient battery, a refreshed design, and interior upgrades. Unlike international markets, where multiple trims are available, the India-spec EV6 facelift is offered only in the AWD GT-Line variant.

Powertrain, Battery & Charging

  • AWD setup with dual electric motors

  • 350kW DC fast charging (10-80% in 18 minutes)

  • 0-100 km/h in 5.3 seconds

The updated EV6 retains its all-wheel-drive configuration, powered by dual motors producing a combined 325hp and 605Nm of torque. While its acceleration time has slightly increased to 5.3 seconds (0.1 seconds slower than before), the new 84kWh nickel-manganese-cobalt (NMC) battery enhances efficiency. This larger, energy-dense battery increases the claimed range to 663km (ARAI), compared to the previous 77.4kWh pack. Charging times remain unchanged—18 minutes with a 350kW fast charger and 73 minutes with a 50kW DC charger.

Exterior Updates & Dimensions

  • New ‘Star Map’ LED headlights

  • Updated bumpers & redesigned 19-inch alloy wheels

  • No change in overall dimensions

The facelifted EV6 adopts a more futuristic look with Kia’s signature ‘Star Map’ headlights, a light bar connecting the DRLs, and revised front and rear bumpers. Despite incorporating a larger battery, the car’s dimensions remain unchanged at 4,695mm (length), 1,890mm (width), 1,570mm (height), and a 2,900mm wheelbase.

It is available in five color options: Snow White Pearl, Yacht Blue Matte, Runway Red, Wolf Gray, and Aurora Black Pearl.

Interior Enhancements & Safety Features

  • New three-spoke steering wheel with drive mode button

  • Fingerprint scanner for keyless start

  • Dual 12.3-inch curved display for infotainment & instrumentation

  • Wireless Android Auto & Apple CarPlay

Inside, Kia has introduced a three-spoke steering wheel with a dedicated drive mode button and a fingerprint scanner for keyless ignition. The center console now features a textured finish, replacing the previous piano black surface that was prone to fingerprints. The curved panoramic display continues to house two 12.3-inch screens, while features like ambient lighting, a 360-degree camera, ventilated front seats, a 14-speaker Meridian audio system, and over-the-air (OTA) updates enhance the cabin experience.

The facelifted EV6 also gets a significant safety upgrade. While retaining essentials like ABS, ESC, hill-hold assist, front parking sensors, and eight airbags, Kia has expanded the ADAS suite from 10 to 27 features. New additions include enhanced blind-spot monitoring, rear-cross traffic alert, smart cruise control with stop-and-go, and improved driver assistance systems.

Kia’s EV Expansion Plans

Following the EV6 facelift, Kia plans to introduce the Carens EV in June 2025 and the Syros EV by March 2026, expanding its electric vehicle lineup in India to four models.
