Hyundai Alcazar Facelift: Interior and Features Unveiled

Hyundai has unveiled the first images and detailed information about the interior of the upcoming Alcazar facelift, ahead of its official price announcement on September 9. The refreshed Alcazar features a redesigned interior inspired by the Creta, along with several new features that enhance its appeal.

Hyundai Alcazar Facelift: Interior Updates

The Alcazar facelift introduces a new dashboard design, closely resembling that of the Creta. It features a 10.25-inch fully digital instrument cluster seamlessly integrated alongside a 10.25-inch infotainment screen. The cabin sports a sophisticated dual-tone theme in “Noble Brown” and “Haze Navy,” setting it apart from the Creta’s interior.

Seating Configuration and Comfort

The six-seater variant of the Alcazar facelift comes with redesigned front and rear captain’s chairs, upholstered in the same dual-tone color scheme. The second-row seats have undergone significant changes, including larger headrests with foldable extensions. Importantly, the fixed center console between the second-row captain’s seats has been removed, allowing easier access to the third row. This change addresses feedback from customers who found it challenging to move between the captain seats in the previous model. Hyundai has also enhanced the cushioning of the seats, promising improved comfort over the outgoing Alcazar.

Enhanced Features

In the six-seat configuration, all four individual seats are equipped with cooling functions. In the seven-seat variant, this feature is available for the front seats only. The wireless and USB charging pad for the second row has been repositioned to the back of the front row’s armrest. Additionally, the front seats are electrically adjustable, with the driver’s seat offering a memory function and a welcome retract feature.

The center console is adorned with brushed aluminum trim and features controls for drive modes and an electronic parking brake. Higher trims come standard with automatic climate control. Expect advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), a 360-degree camera, and blind spot assist to be included in the new Alcazar, along with carried-over features such as LED lights and a panoramic sunroof.

Exterior and Powertrain

Externally, the facelifted Alcazar receives updates at both the front and rear, along with new alloy wheel designs. Powertrain options remain unchanged, with the SUV continuing to offer the 160hp, 1.5-liter turbo-petrol engine and the 115hp, 1.5-liter turbo diesel engine. Transmission choices include a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed DCT for the petrol engine, and a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter automatic for the diesel. The SUV also retains multiple traction control modes, including presets for snow, sand, and mud.

Launch and Availability

Hyundai is set to announce the prices for the Alcazar facelift on September 9, with deliveries expected to begin by mid-September. Bookings have been open since August 22, with a deposit of Rs 25,000 required to reserve a unit.
