Hyundai Alcazar Diesel Now Gets Panoramic Sunroof

Hyundai has expanded its Alcazar lineup by introducing a new Corporate trim for the diesel variants, finally bringing the much-desired panoramic sunroof to diesel-powered versions. Starting at ₹17.87 lakh (ex-showroom), this new variant is available exclusively as a 7-seater, and buyers can choose between a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission.

In addition, Hyundai has also made the petrol-DCT option more accessible by introducing it in the Prestige trim, now priced at ₹18.64 lakh—a significant reduction of ₹2.30 lakh compared to earlier DCT-equipped trims.

New Hyundai Alcazar Variants – Pricing Overview

Variant Price (Ex-showroom)
Alcazar Corporate Diesel MT 7-seater ₹17.87 lakh
Alcazar Corporate Diesel AT 7-seater ₹19.29 lakh
Alcazar Prestige Petrol DCT 7-seater ₹18.64 lakh

Previously, panoramic sunroofs were limited to petrol variants of the Alcazar from the Prestige trim upwards. Diesel variants were intentionally kept sunroof-free to save approximately 50kg, helping the model achieve a remarkable fuel efficiency of over 20 km/l—a key factor for many diesel car buyers.

However, due to the growing popularity of panoramic sunroofs in India, Hyundai has now equipped the Corporate diesel trim with one. Positioned between the Prestige and Platinum trims, the Corporate edition balances features and value.

Key highlights include:

  • Panoramic sunroof

  • LED headlamps

  • 17-inch alloy wheels

  • Dual-zone climate control

  • Ambient cabin lighting

  • 10.25-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto

  • Wireless phone charger

  • 6 airbags and Electronic Stability Control (ESC)

Powering the diesel version is a 1.5-litre engine that delivers 116hp and 250Nm, available with either the 6-speed manual or automatic transmission.

Petrol DCT Now More Accessible

Alongside the diesel update, Hyundai has also introduced the 7-speed dual-clutch transmission (DCT) in the Prestige petrol trim, priced at ₹18.64 lakh. This new offering brings down the entry point for the DCT gearbox by ₹2.30 lakh, as it was previously only offered from the Platinum variant onward (₹20.94 lakh+). The petrol unit is the familiar 1.5-litre turbocharged engine, producing 160hp and 253Nm of torque.
