Honda has introduced the Elevate Black Edition in India, priced from ₹15.51 lakh for the manual variant and ₹16.73 lakh for the CVT automatic. Additionally, the premium Elevate Signature Black Edition debuts with prices starting at ₹15.71 lakh for the manual version and ₹16.93 lakh for the CVT. Both editions are based on the top-spec ZX trim, offering a sleek new look and exclusive features. Honda also continues to offer the Elevate Apex Edition, which was launched last year.
Exclusive Design and Features
The Elevate Black Edition features a Crystal Black Pearl exterior, complemented by all-black interiors and alloy wheels. Design elements include silver accents on the lower door panels, upper grille, and roof rails, enhancing its premium appeal.
The Signature Black Edition further ups the ante by replacing the silver highlights with a gloss black finish. It also adds a seven-color ambient lighting package to the cabin for a more sophisticated experience.
Both editions carry over key features from the standard Elevate, such as:
- Six airbags
- 10.25-inch infotainment touchscreen
- Leatherette upholstery
- Single-pane sunroof
- Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) with camera-based technology
- Automatic headlights and wipers
- Semi-analogue instrument cluster with a 7.0-inch TFT display
Powertrain and Performance
Mechanically, there are no changes. The Elevate Black Edition continues to be powered by the 121hp, 1.5-liter naturally aspirated petrol engine paired with a 6-speed manual or CVT automatic transmission.
Rivals in the Market
The Elevate Black Edition competes directly with similar special editions like the Hyundai Creta Knight Edition, MG Astor Blackstorm, and the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara Black Edition. It also faces stiff competition from standard midsize SUVs such as the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Toyota Hyryder, Skoda Kushaq, Volkswagen Taigun, and Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara.
While Hyundai’s Creta dominates the segment with monthly sales exceeding 15,000 units, the Honda Elevate has struggled to meet expectations. Honda aims to boost interest with the introduction of these exclusive editions.
Availability
The Honda Elevate Black Edition is expected to arrive at dealerships by next week, with bookings already open.
