Hero Xtreme 160R 2V Launched in India at Rs 1.11 Lakh

Hero MotoCorp has launched the updated Xtreme 160R 2V at an attractive price of Rs 1.11 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). Following the recent upgrades to the Xtreme 160R 4V, Hero has now introduced similar enhancements to the 2V variant.

Enhanced Features and Design Updates

The Xtreme 160R 2V now boasts features like drag race and 0-60kph timers, previously exclusive to the 4V model. Additionally, the bike has adopted some styling cues from its 4V sibling, including a redesigned tail-light and a more comfortable single-piece seat with a flatter profile. The seat height for the pillion has been lowered, which Hero claims improves overall comfort.

Specifications and Competitors

Offered in a single variant with a sleek black finish, the Xtreme 160R 2V comes equipped with single-channel ABS and a rear drum brake. It is powered by the same 163.2cc air-cooled, single-cylinder engine as the 4V, producing 15hp at 8,500rpm and 14Nm of torque at 6,500rpm.

Built on a diamond frame with a telescopic fork and monoshock suspension, the bike retains the same tyre sizes as the 4V: a 100/80-17 front and a 130/70-17 rear. It has an accessible seat height of 795mm and weighs 145kg with a full 12-litre fuel tank.

Priced at Rs 1.11 lakh, the Xtreme 160R 2V is Rs 28,000 cheaper than the 4V variant. It competes with the Bajaj Pulsar N150 (Rs 1.25 lakh) and the Yamaha FZ series (Rs 1.17 lakh – Rs 1.30 lakh).
