Hero MotoCorp has quietly expanded the Xtreme 125R lineup with a new single-seat variant, priced at Rs 1 lakh (ex-showroom). This addition sits neatly between the split-seat IBS version and the top-spec split-seat ABS variant, giving buyers more choice in the sporty 125cc segment.
Positioned Between Two Variants
-
Split-seat IBS – Rs 98,425
-
Single-seat ABS – Rs 1 lakh
-
Split-seat ABS – Rs 1.02 lakh
This makes the single-seat option Rs 2,000 more affordable than the top-end trim, while still retaining safety features like single-channel ABS.
Practicality Over Sporty Styling
Until now, the Xtreme 125R was only offered with a split-seat layout, complementing its sharp and youthful styling. The new single-piece seat sacrifices some of that sporty visual appeal but brings in added comfort and practicality for both rider and pillion.
Interestingly, this move mirrors what TVS has done with the Raider, which is also offered with a single-seat setup priced at Rs 93,865.
Underneath, the new variant remains mechanically identical. It uses the same 124.7cc, single-cylinder engine that powers the recently launched Glamour X. The motor delivers 11.5hp and 10.5Nm and is paired with a 5-speed gearbox.
Feature & Price Comparison
While the Xtreme 125R single-seat ABS focuses on safety and practicality, the Glamour X—priced almost the same—leans towards tech with features like ride-by-wire and cruise control. This makes the Xtreme a sportier yet simpler choice, whereas the Glamour X caters to tech-savvy commuters.
