Hero MotoCorp has officially launched the updated Destini 125 scooter, priced from Rs 80,450 for the base VX model. Available in three variants, the scooter boasts a claimed fuel efficiency of 59 km/l, positioning it as a strong contender in the 125cc scooter segment.

Key Highlights of the New Hero Destini 125

Refined Engine and Performance

The Destini 125 is powered by a 124cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine producing 9 hp and 10.4 Nm of torque, paired with a CVT gearbox. While the engine architecture remains similar to its predecessor, Hero has introduced internal updates to enhance refinement and reduce noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH) levels.

Enhanced Features and Upgrades

The scooter now rides on larger 12-inch wheels at both ends, mirroring the setup seen on the Hero Xoom. Additionally, the top-spec ZX variant features a 190mm front disc brake—a first for the Destini lineup. Under-seat storage capacity stands at an ample 19 liters, adding to its practicality.

Hero has packed the new Destini with advanced features, including auto-cancelling indicators, a boot light, and backlit switchgear. It also incorporates Hero’s patented i3S (Idle Stop-Start System) technology, contributing to its impressive fuel efficiency.

Variants and Pricing

  • VX Variant (Rs 80,450): Equipped with a front drum brake and a hybrid digital-analogue instrument cluster.
  • ZX Variant (Rs 89,300): Features a front disc brake and a fully digital, Bluetooth-enabled dashboard.
  • ZX+ Variant (Rs 90,300): Offers premium chrome accents and unique color schemes.

Rivalry in the Segment

The Hero Destini 125 takes on competitors like the Suzuki Access 125, TVS Jupiter 125, Yamaha Fascino 125, and Honda Activa 125. With its competitive pricing, feature-rich package, and updated design, it aims to carve a niche in the 125cc scooter market.

The latest updates ensure that the Destini 125 is not just stylish but also practical and efficient, appealing to a wide range of urban commuters.
